NOMO, short for 'No More Missing Out', is a mobile platform that helps people scroll less and build healthier online habits without banning social media apps. The app was developed by leading behavioural scientists to help parents and educators reduce the time teens spent online, and the chronically online in general to scroll less and live more. By hitting milestones, users can unlock benefits including NFL and NBA tickets, exclusive merch, concepts and cash-back. Koto Studio was tasked with establishing the brand and product design in 2024, with us brought in to help define the brand's motion identity.

Outcome
A tight and tightly defined motion identity that stretched across core brand assets, through to app and UI/UX integration. Given the platform's focus of reducing time spent online, Koto's identity work followed an organic and offline-infused campus 'zine' direction with a tasteful and contemporary 90s nod. The motion identity amplified this. Low-FPS goodness. Stretchy, morphing logo and type treatment. A variable halftone texture system. Plus, a live and reactive brand avatar complete with a suite of motion states and behaviours. Big thanks to the team and Koto and NOMO for having us on this 🙌
